RAM AIR is a Service Mark of Ram Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Inc. Our Home Performance Division specializes in Building Performance Sciences. We take a comprehensive approach to evaluating and troubleshooting heating and cooling systems that treats the whole house as a system. Nationwide testing shows that the average air conditioning system achieves 57% operating efficiency - regardless of the unit rated efficiency. Through our testing and corrective procedures we can increase the actual operating efficiency of most systems to 90%. This can result in energy savings of 30% and sometimes more on older, less efficient systems. Plus, we can provide better indoor air quality, increased comfort, eliminate hot and cold rooms, drastically reduce dust, ensure safety, extend equipment life, reduce premature and untimely equipment failures, and reduce your carbon footprint.

We specialize in duct testing and renovation. Our goal is to get the right amount of air in the right rooms with a minimum of air loss and heat gain.
Because we install, service, and maintain air condtioining systems we know how to design them so that they work best. We have extensive training, 40 years of experience, and cutting edge design tools and software to provide you superior systems that work better and cost less to operate.
Working with Licensed Nevada Energy Assessors, we take a comprehensive approach to evaluating and troubleshooting heating and cooling systems that treats the whole house as a system. We evaluate the impact that other systems and components such as lighting, appliances, windows, insulation, domestic water heating, sealing/calking, ventilation, and building system defects have on air conditioning loads.
Proper ventilation is a vital aspect of home performance. From bathroom exhaust fans, to range hoods, to fire places, to dryer vents. All these ventilation systems must be balanced against outside air to provide the best indoor climate and maximum home performance.
Our service procedures include leak testing of gas appliances and testing for indoor levels of carbon monoxide. Every home should have a low-level CO monitor and homes should be tested annually for sources of carbon monoxide and for gas leaks.

"Doug at Ram Air saved my life! During a routine maintenance call Doug showed me a NCI3000 low-level CO Monitor and recommended it for my home. Prior to that we had a CO Detector from a hardware store. While Doug was servicing my water heater he noted that there was a problem with the flue. My husband said he would fix it so I did not have Doug do it at the time. That night the new CO Monitor went off. The read-out on it was 70 PPM. I called the fire department. They came out and shut down my water heater and ventilated my house. They measured CO levels at 150 PPM in my garage. This had been going on for some time and I never would have known it if it weren't for Doug. You can trust your air conditioning unit and your family's health to Ram Air!
